The wine maker at Indigene Cellars is mostly  inspired by wines that transcend the ordinary by assembling varietals that outrival others within their respective viticultural appellations. I must say- you defenity need to try their Pinot Noir (2007) Created from 100% Martini Clone elegant and noteworthy with dark cherry and plum notes as well as their Parenthesis (2006 Syrah) That which is placed here cannot be ignored. From the Estrella River clone this richly intense Syrah exhibits multi-levels of smoked meat and deep mineral. Nose. Its fruit driven tones of blackberries and dark chocolate and a long structured finish shows complexity and should be paired with a savory meat dish. Love it!!!!! So try out these amazing wines at The Barrel Room. You won’t be disipointed-I promise.

    BEAUTY TIPS

When the temperature changes, so should your beauty routine. Your hair and skin react differently to cooler climates, so you need to redefine your regimen to get the results you want to see. If you want to adapt when the weather gets colder, take note of these fall and winter beauty tips to keep your skin healthy and your hair looking beautiful.

    Winter Skin Care

Cold weather means indoor heating which will have an adverse affect on your skin. To combat the drying affects, switch to a serum before your moisturizing cream to add much-needed hydration.
Lock in moisture by doing this while your face is still wet.

    TRY OUR: Grapeseed Serum $39

Avoid baths and showers that are too hot, and cool the water before you get out. Your skin will retain more moisture this way and you won’t go through the temperature shock so much when you get out.Rub in body lotion on your arms and legs and feet, particularly on your elbows and knees.

TRY OUR: RoseVine or Crisp Chardonnay Body Butter ONLY $14.50

Use eye cream at night to combat dryness. If you do this on a regular basis, you’ll probably notice a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Get your beauty sleep to lower stress and put your best face forward.

TRY OUR : Divine Eyecream $32

     Homemade Body Scrub

Care for your hands as you do your face and they’ll look soft and young for years to come. If your hands, feet and elbows are dry, this homemade body scrub will get them back in shape and give soothing relief: Mix a half cup of Epsom salts, one tablespoon olive or grapeseed oil and a few drops of lemon, lime, grapefruit, or orange juice. Apply to the dry areas of your skin, rub gently in a circular motion, then rinse off.

OR YOU CAN TRY OUR: Vino Champange Sugar Scrub or Fresh Cut Herbs $14.50-$25

     Prevent Chapped Lips

Many women only experience chapped lips in the Fall and Winter months. Avoid licking your lips and use a moisturizing lipstick in the daytime hours and apply lip balm before you go to bed. If you’re a teen, enjoy the many lip products on the market for your age group and dazzle your smile. To remove any unwanted dry skin off of your lips, you can exfoliate them with your toothbrush when you brush your teeth.

TRY OUR: Sweet Lips or Hot Lips Grapeseed Gloss $5

An innumerable number of studies tend to agree that a glass of wine now and again has good benefits for your health. However, a growing number of people are turning to wine not to enjoy by the glass, but rather as a skin products

It’s a growing trend called vinotherapy, and proponents say that using skin products derived from wine have terrific benefits for the skin. Those who believe in the benefits say that products which include grapes, which are full of antioxidants called polyphenols, can tighten the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Vinotherapy isn’t cheap, though, and some doctors aren’t buying into it. One popular brand, which is made at Delaney Vineyards in Texas, sells 2-ounce products for about $100. Meanwhile, Dr. Alison Erlich, the chair of dermatology at George Washington University Hospital, says that polyphenols can be effective if used over a long period of time. “Months to years,” Erlich says, “where there is more time for these ingredients to be absorbed through the skin.” That doesn’t stop people like Linda Adams, a married mother of two who believe vinotherapy is a “facial fountain of youth.” “It just left my skin really, really smooth,” Adams, a Leesburg resident, said. “It was something that I…was going to pick up and going to try to experience it. That’s where the love affair began.”
